16 days ’til showtime!
Two weeks and two days until our final show. From next week we will be in the hands of the director, Gerry Flanigan, who will help us tie together all our bits and pieces with lighting and special effects.
I am most intrigued to see how we get from here (a rather vague conglomerate of routines) to there (performing to 240 people over 2 nights in April, sans crashmats). I’m also wondering how I’ll blog about the experience as from Monday we train every day, 14 days in a row, until showtime!
Here’s a taster of a move we’re working on for acrobalance. The writhing people, if you are wondering, are meant to look like the creatures you’ll see in, say, Cirque du Soleil, and they are there as spotters to catch the people building the pyramid if they fall.
Ta da!
